Vitamin String Quartet Makes Live Debut with 30 Seconds to Mars on MTV's Unplugged

Classical musicians are the original unplugged performers. That’s why classical ensemble Vitamin String Quartet will back up 30 Seconds to Mars on the rockers’ upcoming MTV Unplugged appearance. Taped May 13, 2011 before a live audience, MTV Unplugged: 30 Seconds to Mars finds VSQ adding their signature strings with attitude to the 30STM hits “Closer to the Edge,” “Night of the Hunter,” “Kings and Queens” and “Hurricane.” The episode premieres Tuesday, July 19 at 8 p.m. on MTV.com, with the clip for “Hurricane” going into rotation the following day.
